Feeling rad in plaid

As I leave the holidays behind and transition back in to real life I’ve been able to slow down and catch my breath. The dust has settled and I’ve noticed a shift in my daily look. The shopping, cooking, wrapping, packing, moving, unpacking, hosting and traveling I’ve been responsible for these past two months left me opting for simple, comfy ensembles. I’ve been favoring blouse-y, baggy tops and worn-in jeans and chinos, reaching for the same few trusty accessories over and over.

Just as my winter uniform began to feel repetitive a charismatic coat caught my eye while strolling through my new vintage haven. As a Floridian, I felt ridiculous at the thought of buying a winter coat, but I knew I’d regret leaving the $40 gem on the rack. I took a chance and Mother Nature rewarded me with a 40 degree cold snap! This structured coat is proving to be the solution to my ultra-casual streak, the perfect dose of sophistication and 1970’s flair to elevate my go-to disheveled-chic look!

  1. There’s nothing like a charismatic vintage find to elevate a simple outfit. I love the way you’ve paired the plaid coat with leopard shoes – such a great mix.

  2. What a great look, I totally see the 70s vibe you mentioned. I’m glad there was a cold snap for you to enjoy the coat. Your 40-degree weather was our 0 degree weather 😐 Nonetheless you weathered the weather in style. xo.
